Our Partners

OER Africa has worked at different levels according to needs and opportunity, and developed relationships at course, program, faculty, institutional, and inter-institutional levels. Our central objective has been to build partnerships with individuals or institutions that might become OER champions at their different levels, orienting our potential partners on the possibilities presented by OER, helping them to harness OER to improve the quality of education, developing OER networks, and ensuring that policy environments are systematically reviewed and modified to provide financial and educational sustainability to OER efforts. A key focus throughout has been on establishing, encouraging, and promoting African communities of practice for OER that support the entire process of educational design and implementation – not just the use of (mainly externally authored) open content.
