Introduction

• The common clinical presentations of the disease

• Laboratory diagnosis with video demonstrations of methods for obtaining samples

• Ulcer care and dressing

• Management of problems associated with treatment of M. ulcerans infection

Objectives:

After completing this program, medical practitioners should be able to

-- recognize the clinical presentations of Buruli ulcer disease

-- obtain samples for diagnostic confirmation; and

-- manage therapy, including referral for surgery when necessary
