Brief guide that explores the topic of metadata: What are metadata? What kinds of metadata are there? What is the process of creating metadata?

The resource provides answers to what metadata are in a digital collections setting, the different kinds of metadata and the step by step process of creating metadata. The resource also explains how to use the Dublin Core Metadata Element Set that provides 15 core metadata fields for describing digital objects. A practice sheet is also attached so the resource. Librarians can use this for self-paced learning.
