ICT Module

This module will provide you with a solid grounding on how best to use technology in the world of work and tertiary education. While the skills and knowledge you will learn here can be applied broadly to all avenues of life we have fashioned them specifically to support you complete the Skills for a Changing World programme. Consequently the word processing skills you will learn in this course will be used later in the language course, spreadsheets will come in handy during some of the Maths exercises while your presentation skills will be needed in the YGPS module. We have ordered the lessons in an attempt to provide you with the right skill at the right time so follow the ICT Module section order to stay in ‘synch’ with what is happening elsewhere in the programme.

Web Technologies - State University of Zanzibar

The course introduces students to the basics of Internet technology concepts, principles and tools that can be used to develop Internet applications. The course provides a basic understanding of browsers, web, Ajax, client and server programming, mark-up languages and database concepts. 
 
This course is offered to the second year degree students majoring in Computer Science and IT.

This textbook has been created by lecturers from the University of Malawi - Bunda College of Agriculture. The intention of the Communication Skills course and this textbook is to provide students new to tertiary education, with the prerequisite language skills required to excel in the higher education environment. All students at BCA on completion of the Communication Skills course should be able to:
