OER Africa provides a home for African OER courseware. Over the years our focus has been on Agriculture, Foundation Skills, Health and Teacher Education where we have a wealth of OER course materials that have been developed for the African context. We are excited to host the OER courseware that has been developed through the Partnership for Enhanced and Blended Learning (PEBL) Project.

In addition, OER Africa is curating continuous professional development OERs for Academics, Academic Librarians and Senior Management.

The aim of the module is to enable undergraduate students to practice the scientific process and to write it up as a thesis proposal the semester before they actually embark on thesis writing in their final year. It aims to reduce mediocre student theses due to lack of prior knowledge and skill in scientific research experience.

The module is designed to impact basic programming knowledge and skills towards real life problem solving and its application using various algorithm development techniques, control structures and programme documentations.

The course aims to equip you with knowledge and skills in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) of a project. Application of this course cuts across different sectors and is beneficial to project managers, project coordinators, accountants, personal assistants, entrepreneurs, business executives, human resource managers, team leaders, NGO’s among others.

 

Substantial innovations in distributed computing and virtualization, and better access to high speed internet have led to increased interest in cloud computing. This module introduces you to the theory and practice of cloud computing. The module will provide you with understanding and skills on working on cloud, which is a stable and fast computing resource that allows you to backup and store data as well as work within virtual environments. Generally, the module does this by providing you with concepts of cloud computing as well as skills on deploying cloud services.
